As a public relations director at Pivot, Libby has developed successful earned and social media campaigns for the firm’s destination, non-profit, and lifestyle clients. She’s crafted regional broadcast strategies for Visit Bloomington, secured national press for No Mean City, and spearheaded successful influencer and social programs for Axis Architecture + Interiors, and Graceland Fruit. Libby’s path to Pivot began at the Statehouse, where she covered the legislative session, followed by a stint at VOX Global, where she supported education, sustainability, healthcare and corporate clients like The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Lumina Foundation, Hershey’s, Visa, and AT&T, among others.
Google is everything. I can’t imagine my life without it. I’m a classic INTJ personality, meaning I’m extremely curious about everything. There’s really no excuse for not learning more about any given topic.
Being vulnerable with others opens so many new doors. I live by the mantra that life is much more fulfilling when you don’t shy away from your own story—embracing the good and the bad. As Maya Angelou so brilliantly said “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” I don’t think I’ll ever regret being my true self.
When I need to unwind, I bake. If my house ever caught fire, the first thing I’d save is my KitchenAid mixer. As a board member for Dig IN and The Patachou Foundation, I’d like to think I help to shape Indy’s food community. I even had a two-month cookie business that proved to be too successful—marketing was the easy part, keeping up with demand not so much.
I had 11 internships in college. Who does that? The summer after my freshman year at IU, my dad found me glued to the carpet after a crafting activity had gone terribly wrong. He suggested that I look for an internship. Little did he know, I would take his advice and run with it.
